Cape Town, South Africa (16-25 October, 2010)
Cape Town 2010, The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization, represents an exciting opportunity for Christian leaders around the world to come together to focus on global evangelization. The vision for Cape Town 2010 was announced by Lausanne in May 2007, with Doug Birdsall, Lausanne Executive Chair, also noting that Cape Town 2010 would be held in partnership with the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA).
Cape Town 2010, the first International Congress on World Evangelization in the 21st Century, will offer an opportunity for leaders to pray, plan and work together as they examine the challenges and opportunities now before the church with respect to world evangelization.
Some 4,000 Christian leaders, representing the broad diversity of the global Body of Christ, are expected to attend Cape Town 2010 in person, with many more participating in discussions and viewing sessions online during the Congress.
